Building a Resume and/or Brag Sheet for Jobs, College and Scholarship Applications Workshop

As part of the YES Summer Workshop Series, the YES and Public Library will host four workshops for young adult job seekers. On July 11, 2024, the Building a Resume and/or Brag Sheet for Jobs, College and Scholarship Applications Workshop will focus on resume writing basics, what is a brag sheet and how it differs from a resume, what students can do now to build an impressive resume and/or brag sheet, and much more. Workshop participants will also receive personalized resume writing assistance in a small group setting with help from volunteers from the local business community.
Reserving a seat is recommended as seating is limited. Walk-ins are welcome.

The Youth Employment Service (YES) provides a variety of services to help Simi Valley youth, ages 15 to 22, land their first job or develop their early career paths. These include Entering the Workforce and Interview Skills Workshops, plus 1-on-1 coaching services. The YES also refers applicants to available jobs year round through its Job Posting Service offered to Simi Valley Employers.
